Who We Are
Mr. Phooko has a B.iuris and LLB Degrees from the University of the North and he later obtained post graduate diploma in drafting and interpretation of contracts from the University of Johannesburg.
In April 1998, he joined the legendary Malcolm Lyons and Munro attorneys in Rosebank, Johannesburg where he did his Articles of clerkship. It was at this early stage of his legal career that he got exposed to civil litigation in both magistrate and high court because the firm specialized in litigation.
Mr. Phooko was admitted as an attorney of the high court in February 2001. He is the founding partner of Baloyi, Moloto and Phooko attorneys of Lephalale. The firm had amongst its clients, Thabazimbi Municipality and this is where Mr. Phooko learned a lot about the Municipal law and municipalities operations.
In 2002 Mr. Phooko joined National Prosecuting Authority as a Public Prosecutor, a position he held for four years before joining the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality where he worked as a Legal Advisor at the property department.
In December 2006 he joined the Estate Agency Affairs Board as a Legal Advisor where he was involved in giving quality legal advice to the companies, different departments including the CEO and the Board of Directors.
Mr. Phooko has more than 20 years post admission experience in Drafting, Interpreting, Vetting & Management of Big Commercial Contracts, Commercial Litigation, Property Law, Personal Injury Claims, Immigration Law, Criminal Law and Provision of Legal Opinions.
